Debra Friedman Chosen as UWT Chancellor

The University of Washington has announced the selection of Debra Friedman as the new chancellor for the University of Washington Tacoma. She will replace outgoing Chancellor Pat Spakes. Friedman has been with Arizona State since 2005 as the dean of the College of Public Programs and professor of public affairs. She was also responsible for the Downtown Phoenix campus for ASU. Her start date will be July 1st.

The selection is subject to the approval of the UW Board of Regents.
