Dining Out For Life 2012 - This Thursday

Reminder: Dine Out for Life is this Thursday – do you have your hot date(s) lined up yet?

The Pierce County AIDS Foundation’s Dining Out for Life is in it 18th year in Pierce County. The one-day event raises much of the funding that supports PCAF’s mission of preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and offering assistance to those affected by the disease.

The premise of Dining Out is a simple one: participating restaurants who support the cause sign up to donate 25% of their proceeds from all meals eaten that day. Anyone who eats out at a participating restaurant on the day of the event is automatically helping PCAF. Some supporters dine out at a different restaurant for each meal to maximize their contribution (sounds like a great excuse to eat out!). This year more than 70 restaurants in the South Sound area are participating.

We noticed a last minute call for volunteer Dine Out ambassadors on PCAF’s Facebook page yesterday, so it may not be too late to volunteer to be a Dining Out Volunteer Ambassador.
