All listed positions are “…Open to business or property owners within…“
Why is it assumed that just because one is a renter or a wage slave that they don’t care about their neighborhoods or somehow don’t have anything to contribute?
That’s discriminating against non-property owners (and mind you, in this age of foreclosures and job cuts that our ranks are increasing).
I smell a lawsuit!

To clarify, only the 3 ex officio district liaisons are required to be property or business owners within their respective district. These positions do not vote.
All other 11 positions on the Commission are open citywide and are not limited to property or business owners (in other words, all may apply).
However, at-large positions do require Tacoma residency.
