Do You Want to Design the Official Poster for the 2011 Proctor Art Festival?

The Proctor Art Festival has filled that neighborhood’s streets with art, food, song and activities for 15 years. This year’s festival will be held August 6, but you can get involved now by designing the poster that will herald its arrival.

The Proctor District Association has given us the following requirements:

The Proctor Art Fest seeks original submissions of poster designs for promotion and marketing of the 2011 festival. We celebrate our diverse audience by calling all artists to submit original work for the contest. Grab your pastel set, watercolors, or colored pencils and create an original summer-themed poster for consideration. Your work will be displayed all over Tacoma! Deadline for submission is April 15th, 2011. 

Submissions mediums include watercolor, acrylic, oil, pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel or mixed media on a cd to:

The contest excludes photography, computer generated submissions or lettering. There is no entry fee and the winner takes home an honorarium of $300.

If posters are not your thing, the Proctor Art Fest also welcomes artists to submit a work of art for the 2011 juried art show. Propose up to two pieces for any of the following categories:
Oil & Acrylic
Watercolor
Photography
Pastel
Drawing, Print, Mixed Media
Three Dimensional Sculptural

Proctor Art Fest Art Show Submissions plus $10 entry fee are due on or before July 16, 2011.
