    remember to affix a printed upside-down bi-plane stamp on your envelope!

    Please vote, but contact all those who win and remind them that we the people of Tacoma voted for term limits. We do not want any vacant seats filled with retiring council people. If we had we would have voted yes and kept Ladenberg, Talbert, and Lonergan. Tacoma needs new blood so we can have real change.

    Any last words?

    Yes.

    In the event that a vacancy opens up on the Tacoma City Council, and appointment is necessary, Vice Chairman of the Tacoma Planning Commission and Tacoma architect David Boe should be appointmented to the open council seat.

    I don’t think there is anyone more qualified to rebuild the city.

    Erik,
    I couldn’t agree with you more. He would be a great addition to the council.

    What? No projections thread?

    Did I miss it? What is Exit 133 recommending on the other issues? 1033, I-71 and the Charter Ammendments. Admittedly I haven’t been following too closely. Your opinions on THOSE issues please?

  • Glossolaliac November 3, 2009

    Yes on 71, so the gays can keep their civil rights, and No on 1033, because now is not the time to lock in a crappy budget so that things can never get better. Also because Tim Eyman is an ass.

    On the charter, I voted Yes on all three. Personally, I hate ranked choice voting – it’s an expensive system and complicated to administer. As for terms and election years, I’m not sure it really matters.

    When has Exit133 ever made direct recommendations? I have lots of opinions, but nobody wants to know them. On the other hand, we always like to hear all of your opinions.

    I just wish other people besides politicians ran for office.

  • RejectAll3 November 3, 2009

    I would say no on the three charter amendments. All three were put on the ballot by self-serving incumbent politicians to keep them in office longer, reduce the amount of competition they see, and double the amount of money they can fundraise from special interests.

    @10 +1

    At least some get a choice. Those of us in dist 2 have only one option.

    @AP
    Maybe you should run for something. I know you’re no politician.
