Electric Vehicle Rally Starts in Washington

Be on the look out for a pack of electric vehicles headed south this Saturday. They’ll start in Blaine, and head south, along the full 1,500 mile length of the West Coast Electric Highway - all the way from Canada to Mexico.

The “BC2BC” trip is meant to showcase electric vehicles and the infrastructure that supports them. The cars in this year’s rally include several Teslas, a Toyota RAV4, a couple Nissan Leafs, a Mitsubishi iMiev, and one ZERO electric motorcycle.

The road trip will last nine days and the dozen electric vehicles will not use a single drop of fuel. That means they’ll have to come up with another excuse to stop for a bag of Cheetos and a rest stop.
