Elks... It's Been Too Long.

I realized that it has been at least several weeks since the Elks Building has been mentioned on Exit133.  So what’s going on?  Well, the place is a mess on the inside.  Water.  Fire damage.  Looted fixtures.  Police officers helped resecure the building last week with the help of Steve Zimmerman – the son of the late Ron Zimmerman.  According to Todd Matthews at The Tacoma Daily Index, the deal could close at any moment and the Elks could finally have new ownership.  Todd has several photos taken from the outside of the building on his site and a few more details.  For the rest of us, we wait for some (good) news to come our way.  And wait…
