Exit133 Goes to the Zoo

We came into the office this morning and wondered to ourselves, “why are we here?” Is there any reason we must stay in the office and stare out the windows? The answer: Nah.

So Exit133 took a field trip to experience and embrace our fair city. It seems like every time we go somewhere we stumble upon new and exciting things. Today our destination was decided by childish glee at the sight of the sun. The Zoo. Whitney did a dance in the office. It was quite the sight …

We took a few photos and saw a few friends. Hope your Friday was as enjoyable.

Great pictures. You make the zoo look like more fun than it actually is! Okay, I’ll admit that the zoo is probably better than sitting in an office on a nice day. I can’t stand the cartoons in the seahorse exhibit or the unshaded cement paths. My kids and I sat in the grass to eat lunch the other day and my kids were picking up and rolling in fertilizer pellets. Yuck!

I think I’ve only been to the zoo once since it was fenced off and an admission charge was started decades ago.

Maybe I’ll go next Saturday since the admission charge is waived. I’m curious if the place still has REAL zoo animals like Lions, Tigers, Chimpanzees, Gibbons (Oh yeah), a Gorilla. Even seeing an Anteater again would be kinda cool. I’m wondering if the zoo ever got a Giraffe or two.

But if I see a bunch of caged racoons and squirrels and seals and ant farms and dairy goats and worn out llama’s…

point defiance is so crappy for the animals. i’m against zoos and captivity in general, but woodland park is more humane.
