Exit133 Video: Showcase Tacoma
We had a great time wandering around Showcase Tacoma this past weekend. The art scene was top-notch but we spent a lot of time at Tollefson Plaza listening to some great music.
We particularly liked Beautiful Angle’s bus stop, not to mention its new location. Does the Number 3 bus stop there?
Enjoy …

This is quite sad. My best to the family. Know that Rex was well admired.

I consider myself fortunate to have done business with Rex. My thoughts and prayers go out his family.
Life is short. Every day we live we have an opportunity to have a positive impact on our families and our community.
May Rex rest in peace.

I was fortunate enough to meet Rex just recently and felt very comfortable and at ease with him from the start. I know of his depth and character from others. A remarkable man. My heartfelt thoughts to his family.

My condolences to Chaundra, Dax, and the entire Williams family. Rex just gave his blessing for Chaundra to marry Adam. It meant a lot to her.
I’m a former Lewis & Clark denizen, too.

There can be Beauty in death in a life well lived.
His legacy remains through his beautiful and talented children.
Bright Blessings and Comfort to Frances, Chaundra, Dax & Yauger.
Heal in Peace~

Rex, you will be deeply missed. You were such a big part of Tacoma. You were always so generous to me as my landlord so many years ago, and most recently as my customer and friend. The last time I saw you in my restaurant you treated another couple to a nice bottle of wine. When I asked you what the occasion was you simply said, “Because they are my neighbors.”
My heart goes out to Frances, Chaundra, Yauger, & Dax.

I heard about Rex’s death on the radio today. I was shocked!
For ten years I was a part of the Williams family of renters.
You WILL be missed Rex! You and your family are a true part of Tacoma.
Passing before you was another Tacoma icon and long time tenant of yours, Rose. Find each other and share a few laughs.
Peace to you and your family.

Funny, I was just thinking about him a few days ago. I was at a party downtown maybe 12-13 years ago and Rex was dancing with his wife. He must have had some great disco lessons and was doing all of these 70’s moves with style and perfection.
I was watching them when a friend leaned over and commented “to dance like a millionaire” which seemed like the ideal caption for the scene.

Rex, my friend, our friendship was cherished for a good thirty three years. You and your family’s support of my journies throughout these many years has, and, always will be cherished. From the adventure at the Hampshire that started “the color revolution” of your rental units, watching the family grow, and sharing many good times together.I salute you & I will miss you! It is a sad time for your family, Tacoma, North Yakima Ave., friends, and for myself. I raise a toast, to a very special friend, a special family, and to the memory of an original, Tacoma icon!
