Farmers Market & Go Local Start May 17th

Next Thursday, May 17th, is the official start of both the Farmer’s Market and the Go Local Passport.  The Farmers Market will start their season with all the usual local food goodness, plus live entertainment and “Bike to the Market” day promotions.  After the market, the downtown merchants will take over the street for the official kickoff of the “Go Local Passport” program.  Sponsored by the DMG, Pierce Transit, the BIA, the Tacoma Farmers Market, and the Chamber’s Leadership Tacoma Pierce-County Program, the Passport will enable residents to get FREE merchandise and discounts at 37 merchants all summer long plus, on occasion, win things.  The bottom line is this…
