Our Favorite Thing This Week

Our favorite thing this week was good news for Tacoma. You have no doubt heard about the major shipping contract that Tacoma grabbed from Seattle, bringing the Grand Alliance (sounds like something out of a Marvel comic) to the Port of Tacoma later this year. While we know that there are livelihoods on the line in Seattle, and we take that seriously, we do tend to root for the home team, and we’re glad to see the jobs come to Tacoma and Pierce County. Running a close second for favorite thing was reading about the fascinating story of the feud between an American Legion post and the Karpeles Manuscript Library over an 80 year old howitzer.

    I guess this makes HB2395 kind of mute, since these Seattle Drayage Drivers won’t be generating any revenue for anyone.
