Film & Food Fest Starts Thursday
The 6th annual Film & Food Festival starts up at the Blue Mouse this Thursday, February 7, and runs every Thursday until April 17.
If you’re new to Tacoma, here’s how it works: each week of the Festival organizers serve dinner at the Blue Mouse and show a film that is tied to one of the Tacoma’s Sister Cities. So for the 7th, the movie Shinobi from Japan will play, you’ll get good Japanese food, and you’ll be treated to a performance of part of the country’s culture (Tacoma’s Sister City in Japan is Kitakyushu).
Each night is devoted to a different Sister City. Tacoma has Sister Cities in Japan, South Africa, Taiwan, Israel, China, Cuba, the Philippines, Russia, Norway, and—as of last year—Morocco. That means lots of great food and cool foreign films.
Tickets are available by calling 1-800-838-3006 or are at the Pacific Northwest Shop and the Blue Mouse.
