Final Proctor Farmers' Market

Don’t forget that this Saturday is the last Proctor Farmers’ Market of 2011. Don’t miss this last chance to support the local market by picking out produce, meat, and other offerings from around the area.

Oh, and the Pilot Wine and Beer Tasting Program will be offering free wine tastings from this Saturday’s featured winery, Stina’s Cellars of Lakewood, WA.

Final Proctor Farmers’ Market of 2011
When: Saturday, December 17th, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: North 27th and Proctor
Details: www.proctorfarmersmarket.com

We’re still going to miss the bustle of the market, even when it gets cold and wet. Fortunately, even during the cold months we still have a few options for locally sourced, organic foods, including the Tacoma Food Co-op, and of course our local CSAs. Cheryl the Pig Lady is our go-to for free-range farm eggs and fantastic cuts of meat. What sources will you be relying on to get you through the winter?
