First Night Tacoma - The Year of the Dragon

Once again, Christmas is behind us and New Year’s Eve is quickly approaching. Are you still looking for something to do? Saturday night, join the community for the always amazing festivities of First Night Tacoma-Pierce County!
What is First Night? First Night is a family-friendly, alcohol-free, and tremendously fun way to celebrate the new year. It fills several blocks of downtown Tacoma with people, art, music, dancing, participatory activities and general good times. Rain or shine, and all ages are invited.
This year’s theme is the year of the dragon, in honor of the coming Chinese New Year. The “World’s Shortest Parade” starts at 6:30 pm, and to celebrate the year of the dragon, attendees are promised displays of fire, including fire dancing and a “fire spectacular” at midnight. You can look forward to street acts, stage acts and live music on several stages all over the theater district, along with many delightful things to see and do.
Tickets (Buttons) are $10 from participating locations. $14 on December 31st.
