First Night to Rock Last Night of 2009
The lineup for First Night Tacoma-Pierce County 2010 is just too long to list. That is what a link to the program is for.
The roster of theater, music, arts and undefinable acts to ring in the New Year is set to fill the run of downtown venues along Broadway between Seventh and 13th Streets and a few spots just outside the downtown arts loop.
The purchase of a First Night button for $5 for children, $10 for adults or $30 for a full family covers admission to all of the downtown museums and the full run of official First Night activities, starting with the Procession and the Last Mile Fun Run starting at 6 p.m. at Pantages Theater.
Highlights of the night of revelry include Komandu, a 15-foot tiger puppet, the Yellow Hat Marching Band and an appearance by the Dockyard Derby Dames roller derby team.
Buttons available from First Night venues including around downtown as well online.

Patrice and all her crew did a great job and we owe her a big THANK YOU! You rocked it and I am grateful.

1. Patrice, Board, volunteers, and venues came through once again. Thank you, all of you.
2. Though the closing was great, and the flaming tiger was really, really cool, maybe the fireworks-thing can be worked out for next year.
3. Fun Police – I dabble in the instrument you are looking to add, per flyer posted @ ToT, but I am so not worthy….
4. Small jacket – possible child’s, left at at Pythian Temple venue should have made its way to Broadway Center lost-and found by now, should someone be looking for it. Or in big trouble for losing it.
