Food Cart Comes to UWT

If you’ve been wondering where you were going to get your lunchtime food cart fix now that the Broadway Farmers’ Market is over for 2012, here’s an option: Lumpia World will be setting up shop twice a week at UW Tacoma.

On Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 2:30 the Lumpia World food truck will be open for business at the north end of the UWT campus near 17th street across from Tollefson Plaza, between the Dougan and Joy buildings.

If you’re not familiar with lumpia, it’s a fried pastry similar to an egg roll, with a variety of fillings. Along with lumpia, the truck will also be offering hearty soups for these chilly days.

The truck will be there starting this week, and staying at least through mid-March, but we know at least a couple of you are big food cart fans, so be sure to get out there and show them some love.
