Fortune's 100 Best Companies for 2007 - Tacoma

The Fortune 100 Best Companies list is out and Tacoma is, once again, represented by Russell Investment Group.  Russell moved from #63 last year to #30 this year.  Here’s the email I received last year from a Russell employee:

Russell is a great company to work for because there is a strong focus on associates, with an understanding that the life at work should not negatively impact the much more important life outside of work. This focus on the associate extends to competitive salaries, liberal vacations and sabbatical time, special benefits that assist with family support (adoption benefits, partner benefits, etc.), excellent retirement benefits, and a generous matching plan for charitable contributions.

Six employers with corporate headquarters in Washington state made the list this year – down from seven last year.  Russell’s move 33 spots up from last year is impressive.  Good job.
