THE CITY OF TACOMA SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR FWDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Tacoma, WA – October 15, 2012
The City of Tacoma is seeking volunteers to serve on the Foss Waterway Development Authority Board of Directors. Each Board member serves a minimum 3-year term and the time commitment is approx 4-6 hrs/mo plus 6 hrs for an annual retreat.
The role of the FWDA is to implement the Master Plan for the Foss Waterway, including the sale, lease, development and management of public properties in and along the waterway
Applicants should be civic or business leaders with experience relevant to the purpose of the FWDA in such fields as finance, law, real estate dev, construction management or similar discipline.
Citizens who have an ownership interest in real property located within or along the Foss Waterway, employees of the City of Tacoma or METRO Park District, and members of other City of Tacoma Boards and Commissions are not eligible to serve.
