Free Night of Theatre 2006

On Thursday, October 19th the theaters of greater Tacoma: Tacoma Actors Guild, Lakewood Playhouse, Tacoma Little Theatre and Tacoma Musical Playhouse, will present a free theater night at Tacoma Musical Playhouse 7116 6th Avenue beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Call today to make your reservation:  (253) 565-6867.

This special night of free theater is presented in gratitude to our regular patrons and also as an invitation for new theater goers to discover the quality live performances in our region.

Each theater will present for 20 minutes showcasing their seasons. Tacoma Musical Playhouse will present selections from THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, Tacoma Little Theatre will present a few numbers from DREAMGIRLS.  Lakewood Playhouse will offer songs from the musical SEUSSICAL and a scene from OUR TOWN and TAG will present scenes from Ken Ludwig’s hilarious MOON OVER BUFFALO.

There will also be a free Door Prize Drawing, dancing and lots of extra fun.

This gala event is part of a nation-wide Free Night of Theatre a campaign conceived by the Theatre Communications Group and “Live Theatre Week” sponsored locally by Theater Puget Sound, both aimed at attracting new audiences to live theatre.
