From Our Inbox: Tacoma Food Co-Op Needs General Manager

As we reported last week, the Tacoma Food Co-op has signed an agreement to occupy the Neighborhood Market space on 6th and Junett. But shelves cannot be stocked and customers cannot be served without staff – so the Co-op has begun the hunt for a General Manager. Are you interested, or do you know someone who is?

For more info, visit the Co-op’s employment page here.

After securing the Neighborhood Market on 6th and Junett last week, the Tacoma Food Co-op is now looking to hire its first General Manager to open the store and guide its growth. Visit the Co-op’s Employment Page to view the job description and application process. Please help us spread the word!

I heard from the staff that work there that the expectation is current employees will not lose their jobs. I hope not.

Would love a job like this, but alas, I haven’t the proper experience.

After all this time they had no one ready to go?

Tim, would you accept a job with no firm start date?

I would not be qualified to do this job but if I were in today’s environment yes I would. I would probably have already been volunteering or helping the organization in some way.
