Frost Park Friday!

It’s a beautiful sunny Friday here in Tacoma. You know what that means? Lunch in Frost Park!

The intrepid chalk artists have been progressively improving every week, and now there is some truly remarkable art being drawn on the sidewalks of our fair city. Its a beautiful day, take your lunch, see some art and meet some neat-o people in our community.

    * * * RR’s WEEKLY CHALK SERMON * * *

    You, the people, have the power, the power to create chalk machines, the power to create chalk happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life chalk free and chalk beautiful, to make this life a wonderful chalk adventure. Then in the name of chalk democracy, let us use that power. Let us all unite. Let us fight for a new chalk world, a decent chalk world that will give men a chance to chalk work, that will give youth a chalk future and old age a chalk security. By the false chalk promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill that chalk promise. They never will! Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. Now let us fight to free the chalk world! To do away with national chalk barriers! To do away with chalk greed, with chalk hate and chalk intolerance! Let us fight for a chalk world of chalk reason, a world where chalk science and chalk progress will lead to the happiness of us all. Chalk Soldiers, in the name of democracy, let us unite! Wherever you are, look up! Look up! The chalk clouds are lifting! The chalk sun is breaking through! We are coming out of the chalk darkness into the chalk light! We are coming into a new chalk world; a kindlier chalk world, where chalk men will rise above their chalk greed, their chalk hate and their chalk brutality. Look up! The soul of chalk man has been given chalk wings and at last he is beginning to chalk fly. He is chalk flying into the chalk rainbow! Into the light of chalk hope!

    AMEN

    This is a fun way to meet Tacomans while enjoying the sunshine and some amazing artistry.

    If you are shy about talking to strangers, but want to make a new friend or two, just introduce yourself to me – I don’t bite and I know what it feels like to be shy. I’ll be the girl in the red sneakers.
