Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse This Weekend

In the wee hours of Saturday morning, if weather cooperates, we will have the chance to glimpse a lunar eclipse as the moon sets.  This Saturday marks the coincidence of a full moon with a full lunar eclipse.  The eclipse will be most visible from Asia and Australia, but if you happen to be an early riser, or get up early enough, the penumbra stage begins at about 3:30 a.m., with “totality” lasting for most of the 6:00 hour.
