Best-selling Author Gary Renard Presenting a Workshop in Tacoma November 10th

TACOMA, WA (October 17, 2012) – Local students of A Course in Miracles (ACIM) have organized a workshop with Gary Renard, best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe (Hay House 2004) and Your Immortal Reality (Hay House 2006) and long-time teacher of the Course. Gary will be presenting an all day workshop called “Miracles in the Northwest” at the University of Washington Tacoma campus on Saturday November 10, 2012, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Originally a successful professional guitar player, Gary Renard wrote The Disappearance of the Universe over a period of nine years after feeling guided to take his life in a more spiritual direction. In the fall of 2003, Gary began to present workshops in public. His speaking career took off quickly, and according to his website (http://www.garyrenard.com/) he has spoken in 43 states, 23 countries, including keynote presentations at the International A Course in Miracles Conferences in Salt Lake City and San Francisco. Gary’s wife, Cindy Lora-Renard, is a gifted musician and will also participate in the workshops by performing and leading meditation.
A Course in Miracles is a complete self-study spiritual thought system of practical lessons and applications that aims to assist its students in achieving spiritual transformation through practicing forgiveness in daily life. According to publisher, the Foundation for Inner Peace (http://acim.org), there are currently nearly two million copies of the Course in circulation worldwide including translations in more than 20 languages.
The event is being organized and sponsored by The Parkland/Tacoma ACIM Study Group. “Gary’s book has helped us take our understanding of the Course in Miracles to a deeper level and we’re looking forward to meeting him in person and learning more at his workshop.” says Jennifer, one of the organizers of the event. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Foundation for Inner Peace to promote further translation of the work for international access.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of Washington Tacoma campus in the Carwein Auditorium. Tickets are $75 if purchased before October 31, and seating is limited. Tickets can be purchased at the website http://garyrenardintacoma.com.
