Gibson's Frozen Yogurt Truck: Coming Your Way

Here’s something fun to look forward to this summer: Gibson’s Frozen Yogurt will be introducing the Gibson’s Frozen Yogurt Truck

They’re promising the same exceptional self-serve frozen yogurt and toppings, and the same friendly employees you find at their non-mobile shops, but on wheels. They hope to debut the rolling yogurtry at Freedom Fair this 4th of July, followed by the Old Town Rythm & Blues Festival the next weekend.

From the Gibson’s Frozen Yogurt Truck Facebook page:

We’re just “gearing” up (pardon the pun) to launch the FIRST FROZEN YOGURT FOOD TRUCK in the State of Washington! We’re hoping to have everything set by July 1st, but we are still running through lots of permits/licensing folks first. Keep your fingers crossed that we’ll be on the streets of Tacoma soon!

According to The Volcano NorthwestMilitary.com, the truck will have three machines, for a total of 6 different flavors (and countless potential combos), as well as tasty toppings. As in their shops, the yogurt will be self-serve, and pay by the ounce.

Once they get things rolling, you can find the truck around town by following the Gibson’s Truck Facebook page or Twitter account (@Gibsonsyotruck). It’s a whole new world for ice cream trucks.

We know a lot of you love your food trucks, and a lot of you love Gibson’s, but we also know the permitting process for food trucks is… a bit of a bumpy road at times (if they’re going to be punny, we’ll go there too). We’re looking forward to seeing them around town - where would you like to see the truck show up?

Yippee, instead of giving my kids $2 for a bomb pop, now I can give them $4 for a frozen yogurt. Happy day!
