Giving Back in the South Sound on Dec. 16th

The Center for Leadership & Social Responsibility and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce invite you to attend a community presentation on the findings of a jointly sponsored research project:

Giving Back in the South Sound
A Study of Business Contributions to Community
by Dr. Jill Purdy and Dr. Stern Neill

Businesses of all kinds can have an impact on the vitality of their communities. Learn what large and small companies from a variety of industries are doing to support needs in the region.  This study of over 100 area businesses describes ‘patterns of giving’, causes and levels of support.

This ‘snapshot’ reveals the current state of corporate social practice in Pierce County while revealing what remains to be done (unfilled needs).

Through the presentation of this study we hope to increase awareness and understanding of corporate social practice, while providing an opportunity for like-minded people to connect and share.  Collectively, the participants could reshape ‘giving’ or some other impactful effort in this community.
