Go Local or Die Tonight

The second panel of the “Go Local or Die” forum is tonight at Veritas Mortgage (in the Bostwick Building between Tully’s and the Helm). Last month was a packed event. This month should be even better.

Jim Diers will host the evening. Diers is the former head of The Department of Neighborhoods in Seattle and Author of “Neighbor Power”.

The panelists are Amy McBride, Arts Administrator for the City; Roxanne Murphy, Economic Development at the City and editor of the Forward Tacoma newsletter; Justin Mayfield, with the Broadway Farmers Market; and our very own Derek Young, editor of Exit133 and founder of Suite133.

Topics tonight include: Innovative Co-working with arts, business, education, and urban living.

When: Tonight, March 25, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Designated RSVP seating for this event is full. However, about a dozen seats will be available for first come first serve. In addition reserved seats are held until 6pm at which time they become available to the public as well.

Tent camping at the door line is permissible.

    Hope to see you there.

If you show up and can’t get it, then don’t go home mad. Come on up to the One Heart Cafe for a panini, cup of coffee and live jazz. 5:30 to 8:30.

    Consoloation prize.

Kevin- You’re the tech guy. Could you do a live podcast or streaming video for those unable to get in?

That is a great idea Morgan. Or, if not feasible, minutes of the meeting or a summary.

If history is any guide, I’m sure there will be a post-event audio download (podcast) of the entire meeting. Live streaming would be cool.

How can we get TV Tacoma to cover these events?
