Grand Cinema Poster Contest 2008

We were recently re-reminded about an opportunity to show Tacoma your creative side and win some great prizes. The non-profit Grand Cinema is holding a contest to design this October’s Tacoma Film Festival poster.

All entries will be displayed at the Grand Cinema. The winning poster will receive $350, two festival passes to the Tacoma Film Festival and a joint membership to the non-profit Grand Cinema. All “serious entries” (so, no crayon on place mats?) will receive four passes to any movie at the Grand Cinema.

Entries will be accepted through July 31, 2008.

Cool – my stipend for design work, if deemed “serious”, is 4 tickets retailing at $6.50 each! I could see 4 movies and save $26 and all I have to do is spend several hours designing a “serious entry”!

I am so happy I live in Tacoma where an Anchor Fund not-for-profit believes in supporting artists in the community!
