Grand Opening of Tacoma Glassblowing Studio

Tacoma’s getting another glassblowing studio and its grand opening is this weekend.  So after you get back to downtown from the McKinley District (more on that later), but before you head explore Showcase Tacoma and Rampart, check out their new space.

Rec’d via email:

Tacoma Glassblowing Studio will host a Glass ball hunt at Ruston Way Waterfront between Cummings Park and Les Davis Pier on Saturday August 12th starting at 8am.  This event is open to the public as a way of introducing Tacoma Glassblowing Studio to the community.  They will hide hundreds of plastic eggs filled with coupons to redeem free and discounted items like glass balls, shirts and art glass.  There is a limit of one free gift per person.  All coupons can be redeemed at Tacoma Glassblowing Studio 114 S. 23rd Street in Downtown Tacoma.

Following the Glass Ball Hunt Tacoma Glassblowing Studio will host a Grand Opening Celebration Saturday August the 12th from 5pm-10pm at 114 S. 23rd Street in Downtown Tacoma. The Celebration will include food, drinks and live glassblowing (hopefully).

This weekend is getting busy.
