Green Drinks in Tacoma
Tacoma Green Drinks is starting on Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. What is it? Every month people who work in the environmental field meet up for a beer at informal sessions known as Green Drinks.
We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government and business. Come along and you’ll be made welcome. Just say, “are you green?” and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there. It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Everyone invites someone else along, so there’s always a different crowd, making Green Drinks an organic, self-organising network.
The first event is at The Spar, 2123 N. 30th Street. This month’s gathering is cosponsored by the Tacoma Chapter of the Northwest Earth Institute and Sunny and Smiley Media Partners.

We started the Sun with the idea that there’s room in Tacoma focused journal that looks at things that make Tacoma unique: its people, businesses and neighborhoods. Tacoma has a deep history to pull from, but the story is far from over. Things are just starting to get interesting again! We hope to explore stories that link our past to our future and welcome everyone along for the ride.

Yo Yo Yo, the “big” photo is gonna come together like a mega jigsaw puzzle. Right now all we can see is one jagged piece and we don’t know if we’re lookin’ at part of a blue fender from a ’63 Ford pick-up or are we lookin’ at the sky lit by the Tacoma sun.
