Happy 4th of July

The weather seems perfect for whatever 4th of July plans you may have today.  Our plans include a bike ride to Dave’s Meat and Produce, a long walk with the dogs, a possible quick stroll along Ruston Way, and a slow evening of cocktails, charcoal, and a friend or two as we hang with our Druthers and (a sedated) Baci in the backyard.

Whether you’re grilling, hangin’ with 100,000 of your best friends at Freedom Fair, or simply sipping cocktails on your back deck, we hope you have a fun, safe, and memorable 4th.

Whatever the strategy, it should be unique to Tacoma. The whole America’s #1 Wired City campaign was about trying to market Tacoma as something that it wasn’t: a high-tech hub. We all know how that turned out. Some regulatory changes are definitely in order to encourage small business growth. A “culture of entrepreneurship” shouldn’t mean using innovative business ventures for promotion purposes while also making it very difficult to continue to be profitable.

Go Local is currently the catalyst for creating a “Culture of Entrepreneurship”
Plug in and see how you can experience and support many small “Independent” unique entrepreneurial offerings all over Tacoma. Keep your dollar where your house is, that helps the local economy, environment, and hey you might just make a friend. What better way to build upon an already GREAT Tacoma?!?
