Heidelberg Brewery Hotel Rumors Confirmed

The Business Examiner has published a bit more information on the hotel rumor we talked about last week.  From the BE Daily:

Seattle-based hotel developer Hotel Concepts Inc. has purchased the northern warehouse and parking lot at the former Heidelberg Brewery near University of Washington Tacoma. Intentions are to turn the former brewery and current home of Old Time Wood Work into a major franchise hotel, says Hotel Concept’s partner Han Kim.  Kim’s plans for the hotel hinge on development possibilities for the other half of the building, which was recently sold to unrelated developer. Potential franchise partners include: Intercontinental Hotels Group, which operates Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels; Hilton Hotels, which operates Hilton Hotels and Hampton Inns, among others; and Marriott Hotels.

It looks like we may be getting a new hotel in town.
