Help Determine Our Environmental Health Priorities
The Tacoma Pierce County Health Department was awarded a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to find out what environmental health issues are most important to county residents, and what we should do about them.
To do this, they are forming the Pierce County Coalition for Environmental Health Priorities. Coalition workgroups will meet monthly in three areas of Pierce County: Tacoma, Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula and Eastern Pierce County.
Workgroup members will:
- Share environmental health concerns and information
- Decide which environmental health issues are most important
- Develop action plans for what we should do about these issues
Would you like to be part of these workgroups? The county would like people from all backgrounds. There’s an application and more information at:
Jump in and help make Tacoma a better place.

I think it is a good idea, our many homeless people will have a dry place to sleep at night. Looks like win-win to me.
