HIDE/SEEK Momentum Continues

We wrote a few weeks ago about HIDE/SEEK coming to the Tacoma Art Museum, and the show continues to draw attention.

This weekend we saw a couple pieces on the exhibit. An article from The Seattle Times details (with only subtle traces of Seattle sour grapes) how Tacoma came to host the controversial and critically acclaimed art show as one of only three showings nationwide, and the only West Coast stop. The other piece, authored by David C. Ward, one of the shows original curators, appears on the Huffington Post website, with a little more background on the show, and reminds us how fortunate we are to have proactive leaders in our arts community, who bring such acclaimed shows to Tacoma.

If you haven’t seen HIDE/SEEK yet, or if you’re looking for an excuse for a second look, the Tacoma Art Museum is hosting its first ever Tweet-up this week, in partnership with the Hotel Murano. The hotel and the museum are offering free admission and appetizers (for those who show up wearing pink or blue) raffle prizes, and a cash bar.
