Historic Live/Work Spaces - Public Hearing Today
We wrote back in April that the xxx was considering changes that would lower thresholds to adaptive reuse that would “allow some of Tacoma’s historic structures to be reused as live/work spaces. Those changes are now more solidified, and will be coming before the Planning Commission for a public hearing tomorrow.
The proposed changes to the Tacoma Municipal Code would increase thresholds for environmental review, expand allowances for “live-work” and “work-live” uses (are those different?), and add a parking exemption for existing buildings in commercial districts.
