History Lecture at UWT

The University of Washington, Tacoma, will be hosting a lecture by
Dr. Stephanie Smallwood, called “The Middle Passage in American History”. She will also lead a discussion afterwards. Dr. Smallwood, who recently joined the UW Department of History, is a nationally admired scholar on the topic of the Atlantic world and slavery and the author of Saltwater Slavery: A Middle Passage from Africa to American Diaspora.
