Hotel Murano on CNNMoney.com
CNNMoney.com has a nice piece and slideshow on the “temple of glass,” Tacoma’s nearly finished Hotel Murano. With less than a week until their big shindig, the place is coming together very quickly.
We’ve been to the hotel several times in the last few weeks. Things are changing by the hour as new installations are completed, art is hung, and glass is lit up. It’s quite amazing. More stories to come from us…

The best part about the article is they don’t have to say “Tacoma, Washington.” They can just say “Tacoma,” and assume everyone who reads it knows where Tacoma is. No mention of Seattle, either. People are finally starting to realize we’re two distinct cities, and Tacoma has an identity other than the fact that it’s close to Seattle.
