In the Spirit: Northwest Native Arts Market and Festival

Whether you’re an art connoisseur or just looking for a fun family outing, here’s a great event to check out this weekend.

There will be a Native arts market on Saturday and Sunday featuring a variety of artisans, dancers, musicians, and storytellers from local tribes.

On Saturday, the festival will host a Collector’s Seminar: Understanding Northwest Native Arts facilitated by Tina Kuckkahn, director of the Longhouse Education and Cultural Center at The Evergreen State College.  The seminar will feature Northwest Native artists and a collector of historic Native art.

Want to know the value of your piece of Native American art?  Following the Collector’s Seminar, Jack Curtright will be offering historic tribal art appraisals.
