Infinite Soups 2nd Location Set to Open

Ask about a good place to get a bowl of soup in Tacoma, and chances are somone rave about the line-up of options at Infinite Soups. The Tacoma soup vendor has served a diverse selection of soups from its tiny space at 6th and Tacoma Ave for eight years now.

In early 2013 they ran a Kickstarter campaign to fund a second Infinite Soups location downtown. They met and surpassed their $5,300 goal for the equipment needed for a second location in the old post office building at 11th and A Street downtown. Last week Infinite Soups announced the opening of that second location on their Facebook page:

*****Infinite Soups will be opening our second location in the Post Office in downtown Tacoma on November 17th!!!!! The address is 1102 a st. and the phone number is (253) 272-2598. The menu will be available on voice mail and on facebook.*****

The old post office building sits across from the Wells Fargo building, and will be an even more convenient stop for many downtown workers and SOTA students on lunch breaks. The always busy original location will remain open for business.

The property owners undertook the work of getting permits and turning the space into a restaurant. That took a little time, but they're finally eady to open, just in time for soup weather. (Read more from the Business Examiner.)
