Kickstart Tacoma Playing Cards

Update: The Tacoma Playing Cards Kickstarter page is now live. Pledge opportunities are available at amounts from $5 to $1,000, with prizes of increasing fabulous-ness along the way. You can also catch a peak of a couple drafts of new cards that we haven’t seen before, and a little background on the project. The money will cover the design fees, artist fees and production costs necessary to make this a deck suitable for professional play.

They’re starting at $0, and have a way to go to reach their goal, so be the first of your friends to get in… And if you’ve been scheming about what who you’d like to see RR Anderson render as the jokers, there are only two opportunities to grab that thank you. Other fabulous prizes include signed, limited edition prints, an invitation to the VIP party, first opportunity to purchase the original artwork, and of course decks of the cards themselves.

Tomorrow, June 14, is the day set for the Tacoma Playing cards project to hit Kickstarter. We’ve been hearing a lot of buzz, and after seeing draft designs of some of the cards leak out we’re excited to see the rest of the deck.

The Kickstarter goal is $13,000, and they need your help to make it happen. When they go live on Kickstarter, you’ll be able to get in on the ground floor, and maybe even get a cool bonus or two for being an early supporter – but as soon as they’ve raised their money, that opportunity will end, and you’ll have to get your cards when (if) they go on sale in November…

Such a deal! I can hardly wait! Will we get teasers of the cards as they are developed?

I almost forgot to snag a proof. PHEW! (There’s one left…out of five.)

This is cool. Thanks, and good luck with the goals. Good stuff.
