Kimpton Hotels Coming To Tacoma?

So a little bird happened through our virtual office yesterday with a story to tell.  Kimpton Hotels, owner of Seattle’s Hotel Monaco, Alexis Hotel, and Hotel Vintage Park as well as many more outside of Seattle, is apparently looking to open a hotel in downtown Tacoma sometime in the next year… or so.  What and where?  Is it going to be like the Hotel Monaco?  At first we had no answer.  Then, a bit later, we heard that the building would be “more of a concept fit for that area.”  Curious.  Then, we heard that the hotel would be using an existing building with no more than 200 rooms.  Almost an answer… Is this the hotel partner for the Winthrop redevelopment?  Or is there another hotel site we’re forgetting?
