Kimya Dawson Concert at the Grand

Did you walk out of Juno humming the music? Or scratching your head over the lyrics? Apparently a lot of people did, because the soundtrack has been selling like hotcakes.

Kimya Dawson, whose songs are featured prominently on the soundtrack and inspired the rest of it, will be in Tacoma to play at … the Grand. Not a common live music venue, we know.

The concert will be Sunday, Feb. 10 at 6:00 pm. The short concert will be by donation only, followed by a Q&A or possibly an acoustic set.

Here’s a New York Times story from last week about Dawson.

Hmm. I haven’t yet seen Juno, but cool. A Moldy Peach.

Kimya Dawson kept popping up on one of my Pandora stations (www.pandora.com). Super-catchy songs. “I like giants” always, always makes me smile.

I won’t miss her show at the Grand. Thanks for the heads up.
