Lance Kagey Shows at the Fulcrum

Lance Kagey is best known as one of the creators of the Beautiful Angle. However, he’s also an artist who occasionally shows the world his independent work.

I find the contours of simple letterforms to be intriguing. Using wood and lead type as artistic elements, my work explores the beauty of geometry. My goal – to appreciate, without overanalyzation, the distance between the calculated and the random. Inspired by Jackson Pollock, Franz Kline, and Philip Glass I attempt to peak behind the curtain of our obsession with quantifying our environment, our society, ourselves.

Lance will be at the gallery tonight for the opening. We’ll be there. Will you?
