Last Week for 6th Ave and South Tacoma Farmers' Markets
Today is the last day of the 6th Avenue Farmers’ Market for 2012. It hardly seems like it could be that time of year again, but the changing leaves and cold, gray mornings mean the growing season is coming to an end.
This Sunday is the last day of the South Tacoma Farmers’ Market too, but you have another month left of the Broadway Market. And you’ll be able to continue to get fresh, local produce right up until the week of Christmas at the Proctor Farmers’ Market. Of course there’s also Market on Market.
So it’s time to start canning, jamming, drying, and preserving all those fruits and vegetables to make them last into the winter. How will you be answering your cravings for fresh, local produce this winter?
