LeMay Grand Opening Tickets On Sale Now (And mostly Sold Out)
In case you missed it, presale tickets to the grand opening events for LeMay, America’s Car Museum are now available for purchase online.
Unfortunately, like this year’s Zoobilee, tickets are sold out to the dinner events (Great Gatsby, Sock Hop, and Racers Start Your Engines), but it would appear that you can still buy tickets to beat the lines when the museum officially throws open its doors to the public on June 2.
Those June 1 dinner and dancing events sound like quite the shindig(s). Who was lucky enough to get a ticket to those June 1 events?

Tickets are still available for the grand opening on June 2; it’s only the pre-grand opening dinner parties on Friday, June 1 which are sold out.
Your headline makes it sound like the entire weekend is sold out, which is not the case – plenty of tickets are available, and we encourage the community to come out and have a great time!

If you come to Marymount, RR, I think I can arrange some “time” in a car for you to bring a friend. :-)
I only joke because grandpa did like the idea of a “Petting Zoo” of some cars. We even joked about what THAT meant.
Seriously, until you contextualize them into three-dimensional representations of a time and place in history through something (technology, culture, marketing, design, etc.) they are just cars. Boring cars.
So I am officially stealing your idea, RR, and I’m going to tout a kissing booth in a car at Marymount. (Or something similiar. I like it. A lot.)

That is a great idea. Who wouldn’t want a smooch from their sweety from inside a vintage car. Add a photographer to the mix and it’ll be a money maker.

Actually, which car to choose is a good question…
Personally, I think the “Happy Days” DeSoto would be kind of funny. That 70s kitsch with 50s nostalgia. It might be too hard to set up for pictures though because it’s such a big, closed car.
We’ll see, and I’ll let you know. Great idea, though. Even if it’s just for weddings and reunions, and the like.
