Lincoln Bocce Recap

On Thursday, our summer long bocce tournament continued in the Lincoln Business District. Some players took part in delicious Vietnamese cuisine from Vien Dong to fuel their game.

The evening was beautiful, and play commenced in Lincoln Park, which provided plenty of challenging locations to place the pallina. It was great to see a lot of new faces this week, and the evening’s competition ended with an intense match between newcomer, Aaron, and veteran bocce player, Mike (with his measuring tape, leather score keeping device, and obscure bocce pecularities).

Aaron prevailed and won this week’s prize: a $25 gift certificate to Vien Dong and an Exit133 t-shirt.

Ranking After Week 4

#1 Mike H (6 points)

#1 Rick (6 points)

#3 Aaron (5 points)

#3 Ann (5 points)

#3 Whitney (5 points)

#3 Justin (5 points)

#7 Rob (3 points)

Look for details about this week’s stop in the Dome District tomorrow.

It’s a good the Bocce is so fun, if not I would be discouraged about always coming in last!

I was generously allowed to catch up before I was soundly defeated in the first round. But no matter; it was a lot of fun, the weather was perfect, and I finally checked out the great food from the truck at 38th & G.
