Little Caesars at 6th and Sprague Opens Tuesday

Why are we writing about Little Caesars at 10:00 on a Monday night? Why are we writing about Little Caesars at all … I don’t know, but here it is anyway – Check out the enthusiasm in this Craigslist ad

Join The Empire! Little Caesars wants you to join the fastest growing pizza chain in the world! … We currently have 6 locations in the Tacoma/Puyallup area and we’re opening our 7th store near 6th and Sprague in Tacoma August 26th!

We received this tip and left to meet some friends down Sixth Avenue. As we passed the 6th and Sprague corner, there was someone on the corner with a huge sign announcing that Little Caesars is opening tomorrow. So, nothing subtle here.

So, longtime Tacoma residents and friends, please remind me …way back when I was at UPS in the nineties, wasn’t there a already a Little Caesars at this corner? Like … where the Papa Murphy’s is today?

Thank you, Jake

You’re correct, there was Pizza Pizza on the corner of Sprague Sprague in the 90s.

And it did occupy the current site of Pappa Murphy’s.

2 Pizza joints in one retail area?

    Pizza Pizza indeed.

I was really hoping someone would say that!

Yeah, and like what’s the deal with that crazy bread? Is it really crazy?

…or is it crazy like a fox?

I like the idea of a bunch of Little Caesars pizza scientists sitting around a conference table at LCHQ with the company president. The scientists are waiting nervously for the boss to give the verdict on their new crazy bread invention. Finally, the president looks up from the report in front of him and says “You know? This is so crazy it just might work!”

Yes! there was a Little Ceasar’s there before. You go to Silver Screen Video next door and rent a newly released VHS tape (and VCR if do not own the latest technology)and pick up a pair of paper clad square shaped pizzas for 9 bucks on the way out!

Pepperoni, sausage, and cheese for only 5$?? Thats a hell of a good deal. Do they have anything else besides that?
