Low End. High End. Encore.

Our inbox has been pretty quiet lately when it comes to interesting homes in Tacoma. The low end keeps getting higher and the high end… well most aren’t that interesting. Today, however, we found a few intriguing items.

The under $300k price range is a competitive one and I don’t expect this place to be any different. $259k for a North End address with 4 bedrooms and a hair over 2000 square feet. It’s one block off Sixth with a view of the backside of a bank, but we can ignore that for this kind of money.

Before we got all condo crazy and started building $million condos all over town, we had One Stadium Way. Built in 1975, I always thought it looked odd at the top of Stadium Way. Now, we’re building a lot odder and this place looks simply elegant. Full floor 2500 square foot apartments. Sweeping views on multiple sides. If you want that rock-n-roll lifestyle in Tacoma, this could be your best bet. The neighbors couldn’t be more interesting. The list of tenants reads like a who’s who of old Tacoma money. Units don’t come on the market that often. This particular unit, floor 12, was the architects home. I could go on and on. If anybody has interior pictures, send them my way.

Now for our encore performance of the day. We talked about this house last week. It came on the market, shocked a few of us with its price, and sold instantly. The rumor on the street had the buyer being a realtor and her golf pro husband (Is this Florida or Tacoma?) Now, this morning, it appears again in our inbox. Intriguing.
