LPC Has Vacancies! You in?

The Landmarks Preservation Commission have five openings for new representatives. They would like one individual who is an architect, two professionals with expertise in a related area, and two at-large representatives who are interested in preservation issues.

For those who aren’t as familiar, the Commission reviews and approves applications for changes to registered Landmarks and buildings within local historic districts, reviews nominations and advises City Council regarding additions to the Landmarks Register, and participates in the planning process.

Recent issues this group has debated include the Luzon, the Mecca and the Heidelberg Brewery.
