Manager Needed for 6th Ave. Farmer's Market
Do you remember when we talked about the potential of a few new farmer’s markets in the next 5 years. Our friends in the local food community sent along this little tidbit late last night… The future is now!
The Sixth Avenue Farmer’s Market is looking for a manager. Are you ready to be part of something new and exciting?
We heard something about it being a Tuesday market? Is that right?

Any idea where this will be? Sixth Ave is quite long …

My guess is that it’d be located in lower 6th. It has the best pedestrian prospects. I don’t know how they’re going to find a decent site though. It’ll have to be held in a parking lot, reducing available parking.

Pine Street north right of 6th Ave is the planned location.

Parking on sixth is my least favorite issue in this city. True, you often can’t park right in front of where you’re going, or even down the street on 6th, but I’ve never had to go more than a block off 6th in either direction to find parking. God help our neighborhoods if the city decides to put parking garages in every popular spot.

No kidding Elliot. I live literally two blocks off of Sixth on Pine, so right in the midst of the action. Save for Art on the Ave day and the occasional person who doesn’t bother looking for a closer parking spot, we essentially never have anyone park in front of our house to go down to Sixth.
