Maritime Fest This Weekend

As you look toward this weekend, consider heading to the water.  The Commencement Bay Maritime Fest is this Saturday and Sunday, September 15th and 16th.  Events range from Dragon Boat races to Port Tours.  But it’s simply a great day to walk along Dock Street and admire some beautiful boats.  It’s a great couple of days. 

Most interesting to us is the Quick & Dirty Boat Building Competition.  We really hoped to be there this year.  Unfortunately, I’m now out of town and our team didn’t quite organize.  Next year we’ll be there.  But don’t let that stop you from heading to/into the water this year.  It’s a great event to watch.  If you’re particularly adventurous, sign up now and build a boat!
